Joe appeared to be good spirits as he flashed a smile while making a solo appearance on the red carpet as his girlfriend Taylor, 32, was notably absent.

‘I think people can do what they want and makes them happy.I’m obviously happy in a monogamous relationship,’ He said at the show’s CTAM presentation for media after he was asked if he and Taylor had ever talked about the topic, according to Deadline.

In his career, Joe has recently starred in upcoming series Conversations With Friends, a television adaption of Sally Rooney’s 2017 novel of the same name.

It follows two young student women, Frances (Alison Oliver) and Bobbi (Sasha Lane), as they navigate their unusual attraction to the mysterious and sexy married couple Nick and Melissa (Joe and Jemima Kirke) after they meet at a poetry night in Ireland.

Like author Sally’s 2017 smash book, Conversations With Friends, which is set to air on BBC Three on May 15, is also set in Trinity College, Dublin.

After Bobbi falls for Melissa, Frances and Nick embark on an elicit affair, with the foursome become more and more entangled with one another.

Nick ultimately reveals the affair to his wife, who accepts the relationship having had her own affairs, and Nick begins to date Frances openly within the group.

Eventually Frances rekindles her romantic relationship with both Bobbi and Nick, with the four their elicit attraction to one another despite the complexities.

The novel and trailer alike are packed full of racy moments which will set viewers hearts thumping and will likely follow in the footsteps of author Sally’s 2020 series Normal People, which wowed viewers with its intimate, realistic sex scenes.

Channel 4 series It’s A Sin leads the nominations at the Bafta television awards where it is in the running for 11 gongs.

There are five nominations for Sex Education and four for A Very British Scandal.

It’s A Sin, written and created by Queer As Folk and Doctor Who screenwriter Russell T Davies, tracked a group of gay men and their friends as they navigated the UK’s HIV/Aids crisis throughout the 80s and early 90s.

The show’s 11 nominations, comprising of five in the craft categories and six in the television awards categories, include nods for Davies in the writer drama category, as well as a leading actor nomination for singer Olly Alexander for his role as Ritchie Tozer.

His co-star Lydia West has been nominated in the leading actress category, alongside Kate Winslet, who starred in HBO/Sky Atlantic’s Mare Of Easttown, and marking The Titanic star’s first TV performance nomination, although she has previously been nominated for and won film Baftas, and is a previous Britannia Award winner.

Sky drama Landscapers, which also starred Olivia Colman, who is not nominated in the performance categories, is the second-most nominated TV show, with seven in total, five in the craft categories and two in the television categories.

Inspired by real events, the series starred Colman and Thewlis as a mild-mannered married couple whose lives are upturned after dead bodies are discovered in the back garden of a house in Nottingham.

EastEnders has been snubbed in the soap category at the BAFTA TV Awards.
